ONE-DAY WORKSHOP IN EVIDENCE-BASED NEUROLOGY

This full-day workshop is organized by the Cochrane Neurological Field and EAYNT, in conjunction with the International Danube Symposium.

This workshop will help you to learn how to: - find the best scientific evidence in bibliographic databases - critically appraise scientific studies, with a particular focus on randomized trials - answer clinical questions based on the available evidence - understand the principal measurements of statistical associations used in neurology - interpret study results using systematic reviews and meta-analysis - develop decisional tools to communicate effectiveness and safety aspects of healthcare interventions to the end-users

There will be both plenary sessions and work in small groups where participants will have the opportunity of practicing and developing EBN knowledge and skills. Priority will be given to practical work.
Workshop materials and preparation
Participants will receive EBN packages with material on systematic reviews that will be discussed during the Workshop. They will also receive appropriate background readings and training materials to enable them to achieve the objectives of the one-day Workshop.

The workshop is intended to serve as an introduction to evidence-based neurology and systematic reviews.
